This is an original acrylic on canvas painting entitled Socially Distant. I created it in March of 2020.

This is the first painting I created in my neo-expressionist series. At the time, I was on week 2 of being at home practicing social distancing. Due to my health condition, I will likely have to avoid public places and stay inside until I can get a vaccination. So I may be isolating for six months or a year. The silver lining is that I have been able to paint more than usual and have had more time to experiment. This piece was what I like to think of as a happy accident. As soon as I finished it, I knew I was beginning to communicate something meaningful. I also knew that it would be an entire body of work, not just a single painting.

Although I found myself more separate from people than usual, I also was beginning to discover that the physical separation had given me the space to deepen my awareness of my psychological and spiritual connection with everyone. This connection exists irrespective of time and space. It is a fundamental aspect of human consciousness at the core of our Self.

I want every collector to feel confident bringing an original painting into their home. If within 7 days of delivery you feel an exchange would be a better fit, the artwork may be returned in its original condition for studio credit. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Because each painting is one-of-a-kind, refunds are not offered. If a returned artwork arrives with damage or signs of use, the cost of restoration or loss in value will be deducted from the studio credit.
