Autumn Festival in Omaha 2023

I just got back from Autumn Festival, which took place last weekend in Omaha, Nebraska. The event was so much fun. I hadn't shown my artwork there since 2019, before the pandemic. It was awesome to be able to chat with many of the customers that have purchased from me over the years and meet new people that have never seen my work!

One of the best things about showing my work to people in person is seeing everyone smile when they first walk into my art fair booth. Sharing the joy that can be experienced from our connection with animals is why I make my art. So this makes art fairs especially gratifying.

I'm also extremely honored to be able to do this with my life... being an animal artist, I mean. Our connection with the natural world is such a fundamental part of the human experience. Yet, we often see ourselves as different or better than other animals. We all must remember that we are animals too. That's why I like to paint animals in a way that one might think a human would be honored - with a handmade portrait. I hope my work will remind people to honor and cherish the very special beings that we share this planet with.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a beautiful day :)
